Heal the Bay
Heal the Bay is a non-profit environmental group dedicated to making Santa Monica Bay and Southern California coastal waters safe and healthy again for people and marine life. Used by almost everyone in Southern California, the beaches and coastal waters are one of the region's most important natural resources. Heal the Bay considers its constituency to be everyone who fishes, jogs, bikes, swims, picnics or simply comes to enjoy the view. Since 1985, Heal the Bay has successfully worked with local and federal government, industry and the public to clean up Santa Monica Bay and Southern California coastal waters. Scientific evidenceh has shown that the overall health of the Bay has improved due to the actions of Heal the Bay.
