State & Federal AgenciesMontrose Settlements Restoration Program (MSRP)MSRP comprises six federal and state natural resource trustee agencies (NOAA, National Park Service, CA Department of Fish and Game, CA State Lands Commission, US Fish and Wildlife Service and CA State Parks). Together these agencies work to restore natural resources injured by chronic releases of DDT and PCBs into the Southern California marine environment. The MSRP, on behalf of the Trustees, is responsible for design and implementation of projects to restore natural resources harmed by those releases in the Southern California Bight, including the Channel Islands. The MSRP assesses which restoration projects will most effectively restore the injured resources as well as compensate for resources lost. MSRP also serves as a technical resource to EPA during the development and implementation of the ICs program.
